Book Review

It's been a long time since I have loved a book. I mean,  a really really long time. When I was younger I read so much. These past few years, it's been tough finding anything to hold my attention. The book I read before the one I am about to review for you started off great. I was really excited, but towards page 300 or so, I was lost. Too many new characters and too much going on left me begging for the end. I found myself skipping almost entire chapters. Nothing new was happening, so really... what was the point. The I found One Day. I had ordered four books from amazon and actually selected another book from the pile first. I couldn't even get past chapter 6 so I quit. The moment I started One Day, I knew I was in trouble. I spent the next three hours in bed. Glued to the pages. I am happy to say that I finished that book in ALMOST one day. If I didn't have to work that day/night, you can bet your bottom I would have been done before bedtime. The book was delightful, to say the least. It held my attention the entire time. And the best part, it didn't end the way you would have expected. I love that part in a book where you realize everything has just changed... and you need to know what's going to happen next. Read my little review below, and then do yourself a huge favor and pick it up. You won't be sorry.

Emma and Dexter meet on the night of their college graduation. A night of passion leads to an early  morning. July 15th. This is their day. Each chapter of the book fast forwards to one year later. Emma and Dexter never leave each other's lives. Sometimes they're not together. Sometimes they happen to be just down the street from one another. Living their own lives. But some how, they are always connected. I enjoyed the wit and humor of Emma. She is the class funny girl. Charming in all of her own ways. Dexter is obviously attractive, and always gets what he wants. In the end, it just may be Emma. You'll have to read to find out. This book is funny in all of the right ways. I love it's English charm. Be prepared to be swept off your feet by the two of them. I can't imagine you won't enjoy this book as much as I have.

The end.
